Hi, So I was doing some reading last night into everyone's favourite emotionless protagonist and happened to stumble across some interesting information. Props to guys at Reddit for uncovering this detail but it turns out in one of the files in Resident Evil 5 downloadable content "Lost in Nightmare" that there was reference to an Ethan W as a deceased umbrella scientist The file being Spencers Notebook found here. There's a lot more debate, some dismissing it while others making connection, which you can read in the reddit but what do you guys make of it? Personally I think there's going to be a connection which will be addressed at some point (see below for hope). It wouldn't be the first time Capcom has done such over the course of the series and given they could have created any name for the protagonist of Resident Evil 7 it seems suspicious they would elect to use the name of a "deceased" umbrella official who has been previously referred to. There's other smaller indicators through such as "what the f**k took you guys so long" at the end and we don't know who exactly he's talking to on the phone at the start. Another potential indicator which would be taking things at a stretch is how emotionless he seems to the situation which if his history is connected this way may make sense although a big of a stretch. At the moment it's a bit tough to make these connections as concrete given the connections are quite loose. Hopefully they'll touch on it some of the upcoming DLC or maybe in the "Not a Hero" we'll find out more because we really haven't been given too much of a back story so far. Hopefully I get all it's worth from my season pass then. For More Details: Graphics Card Video
